It usually takes me about half a year to get into the new music, hence the reason I'm talking about past years. haha

I thought that 2002 was a great year for glam. We had about 20-30 awesome releases that were catchy and rockin'.

In 2003, I feel the scene mellowed a little. What I heard of glam/glam-punk bands wasn't that thrilling. Sorry, but Crystal Pistol and Crash Kelly don't really do it for me. Some was good, but not overly great. I thought the lighter pop/hair bands took the stage. Jetliner, Roller, and Squeezebox (Blue Island's band) immediately come to mind. Beautiful music, but not what you'd imagine playing with your car windows rolled down.

I like both years, don't get me wrong, just think that there was an obvious difference to be found. While you could play 2002's releases at a party, 2003 was more for playing while chilling at home.

    Anybody else?

I really haven't been able to keep up as much as I would like to. Many of the bands I have checked out have slipped my mind. I can't tell you at all what Crystal Pistol sounds like, even though I have heard them. I also can't remember what Private Line sounds like, even though I am the one that first brought the name here a few years ago, though Raggz has continually mentioned them here. I did swing by their site the last time, but forgot to check 'em out soundwise.

What we need is a list of the bands websites. Has the Glitzine one been updated as of late? We also need a list of the ones that do have sound samples. If I would just DL these samples, burn 'em to a disc, and keep listening to them, I am sure I would remember them better.

Carl, from what I can tell, the glitz links are updated per band after every feature (interview, review, etc.) on the group. I'm not sure if Spicey's still updating them regularly, but last I could tell, she was.

Damn...I'll need to check them out tonight...or tomorrow...or the next night...

Well, I'm out of town all next week, cut off from the world, so I need to check them out before I leave on vacation, and drag them along with me.
